Metropasses will be discontinued on December 31, 2018; it’s time to switch to PRESTO

December 31, 2018 will be the last day you can use a Metropass to pay your fare on the TTC. Metropasses are being discontinued, but you can still purchase a TTC Monthly Pass, 12-Month Pass or Post-Secondary Monthly Pass on PRESTO. These passes are available for sale from the last eight days of the month until five days after the start of the next month.

You can buy your PRESTO card online at External link opens in new window or in person at the following locations:

  • Fare Vending Machines at subway stations
  • Shoppers Drug Mart
  • TTC’s Customer Service Centre above Davisville Station

Cards cost $6. If you are a child, youth or senior, you will need to have your card set to deduct a child, youth or senior fare. You can do this at Shoppers Drug Mart locations External link opens in new window or the TTC’s Customer Service Centre above Davisville Station. You must bring government issued photo identification with you.

Note: Children ages 6 to 12 still ride for free but require a PRESTO card to enter a subway station and when boarding a bus or streetcar.
